“ I fall one day some six months back. And Doctors told me that it was a fracture. We thought that it is a normal fracture, so followed the regular treatment that our doctor suggested.

He put the plaster on my hand after examination. After one and half month, still, my hand was not working properly. Worst of all, there was so much pain . . . still present! We simply could not understand what was the reason for that. And the doctor also continued some treatment.
More months passed by. But still, my hand was not fully recovered.

Then one of our relatives suggested us to go and consult Dr Amit Varade. He told us that he is an expert surgeon & specializes in hand surgeries. And that has been the turning point in for me. You see, my hands are everything. If my hands are ok, then I am able to do my work. Otherwise, it feels so dependable on others for everything. Doing day to day activities also become problematic.

So when we came to Dr Amit Varade, he took the proper time to listen and study my case. Detailed examinations followed. And after that, he told us about the problem with my hands.
I did not understand much of the medical words. But still, he took great time & efforts to explain us. He said that – “I had the fracture of Rt Scaphoid bone. Fracture of Scaphoid was not united. And he has to do the operation again.”

He operated my non-union of Rt scaphoid by Bone grating and Herbert Screw fixation.
And the results are simply great.

I started working by 3 weeks and the fracture was united by 6 weeks time. Now I am doing all activities with my Rt Hand such as Riding a bike, writing and other activities which I was doing before fracture.
Thanks to Dr Amit Varade for bringing me back to normal life.

I am a housewife. Every day in the kitchen we do have so many little incidences that we do not pay any attention to. But that is not writing. I am telling this from my personal experience. As usual, I was in my kitchen chopping some vegetables. And suddenly the knife slipped from hand & went straight on my wrist. I had a cut on the wrist.

Our local doctor did put stitches on the would & we were assured that it will be good in few days. But that did not happen. After some time, I observed that I am not able to move my right thumb. I don’t know about you, but if you ever try to do something with your hand without using your thumb, then that is pretty difficult. You cannot do simple things like picking the book or holding your mobile. Forget about driving & such things. In short, it created many problems for me. I even could not do chapatis in my kitchen. That was very frustrating. When we came to Dr Amit Varade, we were pretty much worried. Because already 4 months were passed by.

But we are very glad that we came. In our meeting, Dr Varade told us – “Your Rt Thumb FPL tendon was cut at the time of injury. Due to this, You are not able to use Rt Hand. Since it is 4 months from injury, both the tendon ends at cut parts will have the gap of 7 to 10 cm for which we have to use another tendon graft to fill the gap of cut ends of the tendon. Now, this surgery is difficult as compared to simple tendon repair.” Then, Dr Amit Varade did surgery of my Rt Hand as discussed.

And today I am very happy now as I can use my Rt Thumb like the normal thumb. The doctor told me that no hand injury is minor and all need evaluation by Hand Expert.

Again, I am in my kitchen today & making chapatis for the beloved family. This is possible only because of Dr Amit Varade.

We are very much thankful to him for everything!!!

It was one the most horrible day in our life. I have a son who is just 10 years old. His left hand’s finger was caught in water pumping machine. And it was divided into 2 parts. I have never been so much worried. He was crying continuously. And it was very crucial that we do take him to the surgeon for the immediate operation.

Luckily, we were aware of Dr Amit Varade & knew that he is very expert in all types of hand surgeries. Within half an hour, we reached to his Sopan Hospital. Dr Varade took very fast actions. On one side he was explaining to me what has happened & what needs to be done. On another side, he was instructing the hospital staff to prepare for the operation. He patiently explained to us that – “There is traumatic amputation of left Index finger. He has to undergo reimplantation surgery. This is supra major surgery in which patients index fingers bone, all tendons, digital nerves, arteries will require repair. Digital artery and vein repair are done under the microscope using very fine suture material like hair.”

My son was immediately taken for surgery. The surgery was very difficult. It took 6 – 7 hours. But when Dr Varade came out, he was very happy that he saved my son’s fingers & hand.
Today my son is having normal looking left index finger and he can do all activities with his left hand. We are very grateful to Dr Amit Varade for doing this miraculous job. May God give him the strength to continue doing this type of good work!!

Electricity is our friend. But if we are not careful with it, then it can destroy our lives, too. Something like this has happened to me. I had burn injury due to 3 phase electrical shock. It was very painful. My left Hand was stuck to power station till peoples stop current supply to the power station. I was shifted to the local hospital because it was the emergency. The Doctors there checked me & told us that the injury was very very severe. And they had to take extreme action to save my life.

But what they had suggested was as good as losing a big part of my life. They said that my left hand need to be cut!

Can you imagine the shock that you get when Doctors tell you this? I was really worried beyond anything.

Luckily we were advised to come & see Dr Amit Varade. We were told that he is one of the best hand surgeon & he does miracles with the hand surgeries.

With little hope, we came to his Sopan Hospital & met him. After examining the condition of my left Hand he assured me that my Hand will be alright.

I actually cried when he said that. Because I lost all my hopes by that time.

He operated twice on my left Hand. Both the times, it was lengthy surgeries. But in the end, all is well.

Now I am very happy because I can ride 2 wheeler as well as be doing all other activities of daily living. I am very grateful to Dr Amit Varade who has prevented me from being the handicap and changed my entire life.

Later on, I came to Know that Surgery of brachial plexus is being performed by very few surgeons and at very few places in India.
